Has anyone used them before? I'm interested in trying them out and would like some suggestions of any good products out there.

I've used them before - never noticed any difference.  Enzymes offer a lot of proven benefits from digestion to immune function and many other things you wouldn't expect.  However if you don't suffer from poor digestion, lactose intolerance, or other ailments then you probbaly won't notice anything.

In regards to using protease or other protein assisting enzymes they can be useful for WPC but are not necessary for WPI or other high grades of protein.

Long story short, unless you have specific issues I would save the money or spend it on getting WPI over WPC.

Hey Ruys,

I use digestive enzymes to assist with protein digestion, usually after I eat a meal containing red meat in high quantities. The one I use is by ethical nutrients called digestion plus - protein digestion assistance.

I should have mentioned, I do take these because I have a sensitive stomach and can sometimes suffer digestion issues, particularly after large doses of red meat. These usually help me when I take them after a meal containing large amounts of beef.

Cool mate. Where do you get it and roughly how much is it? I don't have digestion issues per say but I wouldn't mind trying it out anyway just to see if I notice the difference.

Cool, thanks mate. I'll have a look around but at the moment I'm travelling pretty well. Last time I bulked up I was getting to my next meal feeling like I'd just finished eating the previous one. Not too bad at the moment though.

Yeah, I only started taking these as there were times where I'd finish a meal, only it would feel like the food got stuck somewhere in my intenstines and I would get extremely bloated and gassy. It gets very uncomfortable and even painful at times.

Yes Ruys, I use two kind of enzymes. One is the  Proteolytic Enzymes, which breaks up the CICs and the CRPs, whilst the other is just your all around digestive enzyme to digest "dead" food, since most/all our food has its enzymes killed off by heat.

There's plenty of info on the net, but here's a quicky for you: http://www.nsc24.com/Enzymes.htm

Thanks Fadi, nice to have you back.  Smiley

I've been thinking of giving them a try in the hope that they will help my body absorb my food better and make the most out of it. At the moment I feel like I'm  eating more than enough to grow but perhaps my body isn't capable of processing it all. Does that make any sense?

I'll have a read of that link too. Thanks for that.
